I mean technically speaking I was a professional since the first commission I completed as a freelance artist but. Now I Officially™ have a gig for a handful of book related logos and an entire book cover illustration/title work and I'm so thankful for all my recent typography and design courses. ._. Never
before have I had classes apply so quickly to real world situations but the weird thing is it doesn't feel like work.
There's time management issues and stuff like that from trying to balance school and home life with art but the art doesn't feel tedious or difficult?? I actually look forward to working on my commissions even though the book cover in particular is very
complex and I have no clue what to do for one of the logos still. It weirds me out a little but it's also kind of exciting, and I'm trying to take it as a good sign that I'm in the right career.
